Cassano still dreaming about World Cup 2010

Genoa – Sampdoria star Antonio Cassano admit  that he was very ambitious to defend the Italian national team in 2010 World Cup. Even so, Cassano will respect all decisions from head coach Marcello Lippi.

Cassano became one of the players who got support from community to become one of Gli Azzurri squad. But, despite showing a nice game with Sampdoria, Lippi was was not interested to call Cassano to the squad.

The rumors said that the former Juventus coach is reluctant with Cassano’s attitude, who tends to become a bad boy. But, Cassano admitted he had no grudge against Lippi and still hopes to defend Italy’s 2010 World Cup. “The World Cup is my dream, but the media should not disturb Lippi. I never talked to him since the 2006 World Cup. As far as I thought, I’m ready 100%, but in Italy difficult to change the label. Now I’m just too nice “said Cassano to TG1.

Lippi is a smart person, and I knew that he is not easily influenced by anyone. José Mourinho? He’s a champion. Together with Fabio Capello, he is one of the best coaches in the last 12 years.” said Cassano.(S2)
