Former Inter Milan coach Roberto Mancini sure Sampdoria striker Antonio Cassano deserves a place in the Italian national team for 2010 World Cup.
The debate related to Cassano’s to be or not to be part of Azzuri world cup team still continues. Until now the national Italian coach Marcello Lippi has not assign Cassano on his team, despite a lot of pressure to call the former Roma striker and Real Madrid to be part of his team.
Even though Mancini claims being impress with Cassano’s performance nowadays, but he also said that “I’m not the coach of Italy, and it was not my call. But, I personally disappointed that Cassano was not part of the team “said Mancini to Sky Sport Italia. Lippi himself later said the Italian national side door is open to anyone, but the former Juventus coach does not want a lot of talk about Cassano issue.
